The much-anticipated Ramayan starring Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi kicked off its filming in Mumbai this week, igniting excitement among fans. However, the enthusiasm was tempered by leaked photos and videos of the elaborate sets at Goregaon Film City flooding social media platforms. Director Nitesh Tiwari, reportedly dismayed by the unauthorized releases, swiftly imposed a strict no-phone policy on set to prevent further breaches of confidentiality. Reports from India Today suggest that Tiwari and the production team were alarmed by the proliferation of leaked images, including those featuring Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi and Arun Govil as Dashrath. To safeguard the project's integrity, Tiwari has taken measures to limit access to the set, allowing only essential personnel like actors and technicians during filming. The director's vigilance extends to protecting Ranbir Kapoor's portrayal of Lord Ram, with additional scrutiny placed on preserving the character's appearance. With an extravagant Rs 11 crore set recreating the city of Ayodhya, the production aims to immerse audiences in the world of Ramayan across three planned instalments.




While Ranbir Kapoor is poised to embody Lord Ram from mid to late April, Sai Pallavi's portrayal of Mata Sita is slated to commence in July, followed by Yash's portrayal of Ravan. The initial instalment of the film promises to delve into Lord Ram's early life, his marriage to Sita, and the subsequent events leading to her abduction.

Although the project has yet to receive an official announcement, anticipation is high for an impending reveal, given the wealth of details circulating. As the production strives for secrecy amidst widespread interest, fans eagerly await further updates on this epic cinematic venture.
